10-11: Yugoslav Elections: Western nations are pressuring longtime
Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to concede defeat in Sunday's
presidential elections. Observers have been pleased by the civility
that prevailed during and since the elections, but whether Milosevic
will allow a peaceful transition of leadership remains to be seen. A
panel updates the news from Yugoslavia and what possible paths the
country might take in the near future.
         Guests: Tom Gjelten, National Public Radio; Warren Zimmerman,
prof of diplomacy, Columbia University and former U.S. Ambassador to
Yugoslavia 1989-1992; Sabrina Ramet, prof  of International studies,

11-12: Mary Karr: Mary Karr joins Diane to continue telling the story
of her life, which she began in her best-selling 1995 memoir "The
Liars' Club." In her new volume, "Cherry" (Viking), she relates her
years of adolescent turmoil, as she came of age in the 1960s.

An inside look at the impeachment and trial of President Clinton,
with Washington Post reporter Peter Baker. He's the journalist who
co-wrote the original article breaking the news about Monica Lewinsky.
