Faith." Wednesday producer Steve McFarland was awarded an Honorable
Mention in the 2000 Ohio Educational Telecommunications awards
competition for radio. Congratulations, Steve!

HOUR ONE: CANCER RATES/ PRESCRIBED BURNS: As intentionally set fires
continue to burn out of control in New Mexico and at the Grand
Canyon, a look at the science of prescribed burns.

HOUR TWO: 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF MOUNT ST. HELENS: the May 18th, 1980
eruption of Mount St. Helens, and how the area has recovered from the
largest volcanic eruption in the lower forty-eight states in the past
century.



    All Things Considered, 4-7 p.m.

In the past year, at least 20 people have sued New York City for
illegal strip searches. Police Commissioner Howard Safir (SAY-fer)
has said it is "not a major issue." The plaintiffs say it's a
violation of the 4th Ammendment of the Constitution.
