to Washington
for a post-election "lame duck" session to complete work on the
budget and other
issues. Diane talks with Congressional observers about what's left for them
to do, and about what the next session might look like, with the Congress even
more closely divided.

2: Judd Winick: In 1994, cartoonist Judd Winick was a cast
member on MTV's
program "The Real World." One of his housemates, Pedro Zamora, was
HIV-positive,
and died just after the series aired. Judd Winick joins Diane to talk about
his friendship with Pedro, and about what he is doing to continue Pedro's
efforts to educate young people about AIDS. His book is called "Pedro and Me"
(Henry Holt).
