Apologies for the late notice, but some of you may be interested and
able to attend the following:

The Earlham College Biology Department will be having a colloquium
tomorrow afternoon.

Susan Willson, who is a candidate for a two-year position in our
department, will be presenting on:

"Army ants and obligate ant-following birds: ecology, spatial
movement patterns and behavior in Amazonian Peru"

Susan Willson studied a really amazing group of birds that are
"professional" ant followers -- feeding on the insects and
invertebrates that swarms of army ants flush as they work through the
rain forest. She is currently a Visiting Professor in Biology at
Colgate University (PhD from U Missouri-Columbia; BA from Skidmore
College).

The talk will be in Stanley Hall 035 at 4:00pm.

Bill
