Please forward this to the listserv. There is a link for Job Openings
that some of our students may find interesting.

Opportunities

Good afternoon:

As my thermometer struggles to get above zero this week, I find renewed
appreciation for hardy winter birds and look forward to the return of our
migratory birds this spring. Regardless of the weather, it's always great
to learn about new opportunities for professional development as bird
conservationists. Therefore, I wanted to share the following trainings
and job opportunities with all of you:

On our Calendar of
Events<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v1/url?u=http://midwestbirdmonito

two webinars in the month of February and three Migratory Bird training
workshops taking place at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC)
in April, May and June. I recommend taking any chance you have to visit
NCTC - it is an inspiring place! I'll actually be teaching the course in
April, so that would be a fun chance to visit in person.

I am also working hard to post any and all Job

are within or very relevant to our Midwest region. Be sure to check back
weekly for updates, especially as people plan for field seasons and
graduate projects in the next few months!

Finally, I'm already hard at work in the early stages of planning our 2014
Midwest Bird Conservation and Monitoring Workshop (we have a better title
in the works). Expect a save-the-date announcement from me in early
February...

Wishing you all happiness today,

Katie Koch
