I visited much of Brookville Lake from Whitewater State Park south to
the Fairfield Causeway this morning. Numbers of several species were
down from yesterday. A few highlights:
Brookville Lake mud flats off Whitewater State Park (Union Co.)
Canada Goose 210 (day total 255, up from recent days)
Bald Eagle 1 adult
Black Vulture 17
Turkey Vulture 1
Sandhill Crane 22 (had spent the night on the mudflats)
Killdeer 420
Dunlin 29
Bonaparte's Gull 550
Brookville Lake, Hannah Creek ramp (Union Co.)
Black Vulture 31
American Coot 450
Bonaparte's Gull 150
Brookville Lake, Sagamore Resort (Union Co.)
Bonaparte's Gull 200
Herring Gull 1
Brookville Lake, Fairfield Causeway
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER 2 (Franklin Co., later flew north into Union Co.)
