Greetings... the fledgling Ohio Ornithological Society recently fired up
their website. Dave Russell's northern waterthrush made the news section
today: http://www.ohiobirds.org/news.php?News_ID=10

There are a few other news items from around the state in the news section,
as well, including an update on the peregrinations of the wandering whooper
crane clan.

In Gilmore Ponds news, Tim Tolford banded a prothonotary warbler on
Saturday, as well as a number of brown thrashers on Saturday and Sunday.
Other birds in the area included one Baltimore oriole on Sunday, Nashville,
prairie, black-throated green, northern parula, common yellowthroat,
yellow-rumped warbler, warbling vireo, eastern kingbird, and 25+ Wilson's
snipe in West Pond.

No northern waterthrushes, yet, though--that anyone is aware of at least!
Nice to know they're back; and a little early, to boot.

Take care,
---Mike
