WILDS BIRDING UPDATE March 27, 2007
Notes on our 2007 Birding by Ear event at the bottom of the page
Phoebes
Chipping Sparrows
Still some rough-legged hawks to be seen
Some good duck watching over the last few weeks
One lone Osprey was back at Little Italy Lake on 3-16-07 and as I went out
to place a predator guard on the nest platform a few days later, he came in
and circled and called. He came especially close overhead when I climbed
the hacktower later to remove some materials. So I assume he was
remembering the old days of easy food.
