Making notes here also about the Purple Finches and Juncos still being here.
As stated, have not ever had so many Purple Finches, and never had Purple
Finches and Juncos stay so late......interesting year.

                         Subject: Purple finches in Oxford

We've had Purple Finches at our feeders
since Tuesday: up to five females
and two (possibly three) males. No, they
                         aren't House Finches! We've had
the occasional female Purple Finch in the
winter, but rarely this late in
spring, and I don't recall ever seeing
males here in Oxford. They are a
                         delightful sight.

We also have a lone Dark-eyed Junco
                         hanging around yet. Apparently neither
the junco nor the finches have gotten the
word that it's time to go....
