Greetings... Jay Lehman posted some observations concerning the Caesar Creek
Lake western grebe on the Birding in Cincinnati site this afternoon:

Jay's conclusion is that Clark's grebe can't be ruled out--nor proven--based
on the views birders have had so far of the bird. It would be a really tough
call from the distances at which people are observing the bird, and even
more difficult given that the grebe is probably in non-breeding plumage. It
would also be a first state record for Ohio if it were proven to be a
Clark's. (There are a number of records for western grebe). So . . . rather
interesting.
