The Diane Rehm Show, 10-12 noon (*2 full hours on WMUB)

10-11: Behavioral Drugs and Young Children: A study just published in
the Journal of the American Medical Association reports that doctors
are prescribing stimulants and antidepressants for children under 4
years of age more and more often. A panel talks about whether and
when it is safe and appropriate for very young children to take mood-
and behavior-modifying drugs.
Guests: Dr. Julie Magno Zito, University of Maryland School
of Pharmacy; Dr. Jean Thomas, infant/child psychiatrist at Children's
Hospital in Washington; Dr. Lawrence Diller, behavioral pediatrician
& author of "Running on Ritalin" (Bantam)

11-12: Katherine Russell Rich: Katherine Russell Rich was first
diagnosed with breast cancer over a decade ago, when she was 32 years
old. Her book "The Red Devil: To Hell with Cancer and Back" (Crown)
is the kind of living-with-cancer book she wishes she'd had back then
-- an honest yet funny account of her ongoing ordeal.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross, 12:06-1 p.m.

Actress ANJELICA HUSTON talks about her life, her career, and her
father, director John Huston. She directs and stars in the new film
"Agnes Browne" based on the Irish novel, "The Mammy."

point.'
