U.S. Government,  Native American plaintiffs claim trust account
mismanagement has cost them billions of dollars. The lead plaintiff,
Elouise Cobell, talks about the history of the case and its current
status.

11-12 Lucy Grealy: Author Lucy Grealy, author of the 1994 memoir
"Autobiography of a Face," joins guest host Steve Roberts to discuss
her new book "As Seen on TV: Provocations" (Bloomsbury).  In this
collection of essays, she shares her observations on sex, politics,
family, and other personal and universal themes of
turn-of-the-millennium life.

Friday, September 1, 2000:  Electricity Deregulation

       This past July, Ohio Governor Bob Taft signed the "consumer
choice" bill which deregulates the sale of power at the retail level
-- in essence, allowing consumers to choose who their electric
provider is. Guests will include representatives of the Butler Rural
Electric Cooperative.
