Friday, September 1, 2000: Electricity Deregulation
This past July, Ohio Governor Bob Taft signed the "consumer
choice" bill which deregulates the sale of power at the retail level
-- in essence, allowing consumers to choose who their electric
provider is. Guests will include representatives of the Butler Rural
Electric Cooperative.
