Stuff I'm listening to:

Steve Ward - Opening Night (solo cd by the creative force behind Cherry
Twister, http://www.steveward.org/ )

Sodastream - Looks like a Russian and Practical Footwear (Australian band
doing the Nick Drake/Belle & Sebastian twee Depression thing)

Teddy Thompson (Richard & Linda's kid, reminds me a lot of Neil Finn's solo
work)

Joe Pernice's various projects, especially Chappaquidick Skyline & the
Pernice Brothers (anything that sounds like a non-medicated Elliot Smith
fronting Teenage Fanclub is okay in my book....)

Trembling Blue Stars (gorgeous shimmery pop by Bob Wratten from the Field
Mice)

The Steinbecks (more Australian twee stuff, only they also remind me of Let's
Active and early Connells)

and the Posies boxed set is, to quote Zaphod Beeblebrox, "amazingly amazing!"

Stuff I'm waiting for impatiently:

the new ones from Myracle Brah and Michael Carpenter.

-Cheryl (who is sure she spelled "Chappaquidick" wrong, but doesn't much
care....)

n.p. Laurie Anderson - United States Live, disc four
