The Diane Rehm Show
1: Hillary Clinton: As her eight years as First Lady of the
United States draw to a close, Hillary Rodham Clinton has a new
challenge to look forward to: in January, she'll be sworn in as a
U.S. Senator from the state of New York. In a LIVE broadcast from the
White House, the First Lady presents her new book "An Invitation to
the White House" (Simon & Schuster). She'll take Diane through some
of her favorite rooms, and talk about the public and private
highlights of living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
2: Art Buchwald: Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper columnist
Art Buchwald talks about his latest book, "Stella in Heaven: Almost a
Novel" (Putnam). He'll discuss the story he tells of a recent
widower who's able to communicate with his late wife -- who's in a
Heaven that is very much like a Ritz Carlton hotel. He'll also talk
about his recuperation from a stroke he suffered over the summer.
Fresh Air
ANGELA LANSBURY. She'll receive a Kennedy Center Honor this
weekend and talks with Terry about her roles in "Gaslight", "The
Manchurian Candidate", "Blue Hawaii", "Gypsy", "Mame" and "Sweeney
Todd."
