Hi all --

I'm trying to develop some recommendations regarding Lakeland Community
College's policies on IRB matters (i.e., institutional review boards of college
research).

How do those of you from two-year institutions handle institutional review
matters (e.g., human subjects issues, etc.)? In particular, I'd appreciate any
thoughts you might have on the following matters:

1. Do you have an IRB process? If so, what college department is responsible
for overseeing IRB issues?

2. DOes institutional research play any role?

3. And if you could give me a brief summary of your policies/procedures, I'd
really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Eileen Doherty
