Hello AIR Affiliates,

I am happy to let you know that the AIR web server has been
repaired.

Although the system has redundent systems in many areas the
RAID controller card was not. This card failed on reboot Monday
night. We had to order the replacement card and installed it today.

As a prevention measure we have purchased a spare card. Yet for
the bigger picture we are in the process of buying a second server.
This server will provide a backup to our existing machine, but as
important it will be host to the AIR databases.  With this
configuration both machine will have copies of the others funciton
(i.e. the web server will hold a copy of the databases and the
database server will hold a copy of the web server information) thus
if one machine should fail we can switch setups to operate on one
machine if necessary.

With these plans we hope to never tell you that your site will be
down.  It is always a possiblity, but we hope to provide the
systems to you that minimize this risk.
