All,
I believe that we've got a defective CDROM for Abaqus. We are on the
platform: RedHat Linux AS 3 64-bit.
I tried several times on difference machines. We used the Linux
x86-64 CD and that sysinfo.tar just cannot be un-tarred.
I used it on **different** CDROM while copying the file, it said sth
along line of: cdrom_decode_status error:
Here are the setup:
[software@mulnx31 software]$ /mnt/cdrom/setup
A scratch directory is required for the execution of the
ABAQUS installation procedure.
TMPDIR is not defined on this system. Provide the full path
to the scratch directory.
Scratch directory is: /tmp/
cp: reading `/mnt/cdrom/lnx86_64/sysinfo.tar': Input/output error
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Checking system requirements for installation. This will
take just a moment...
***ERROR: One or more system tests have failed the minimum installation
requirements. The installation procedure will not continue.
Hit <Enter> to view the output from this system check.
./sysinfo.csh: Command not found.
...finished.
Thanks,
