The Chili Challenge map will be out very soon. To help with weekend
planning, unfortunately the Snowy Owl in Circleville, the A. White Pelican/
N. Shrike at Deer Creek, the Whooping Crane and Rough-legged Hawks near
Brownstown are all outside the circle. The circle ends at 65 in Seymore [so
it includes Muskatatuck]; roughly between Sabina and Glendon on Hwy 22,
not up to (or past) Washington Courthouse, and roughly Celina [Grand Lake
St. Mary's].
The good news is the Ross's Goose is still hanging out at Brookville, as is
the Northern Shrike. Up to 50 Sandhills spend the night on the mudflats at
Dunlapsville [however, this rain has unfortunately flooded much of this
area]. The cranes typically have returned from feeding in the fields by
late afternoon and loaf around the mudflats until dark.
Cheers
Dave
