Perry has the problem described below.

I suggested setting path but this works for ".m" files and not for
Unix executables. Then I was able to run a c executable using:
1 - add directory to path (I suggested to add all dirs to the path)

(.bashrc)

PATH='/Users/jaimecombariza/Junk/Junk5':$PATH
export PATH

2 - launch matlab

>[c,v]=unix('hhh.x')

v contains the output of hhh.x ( a simple hello world line)

I am sure Perry's call is more complex. Does anyone have experience with
this? I suggested a visit on Tuesday.

I'm not sure if you are a mac user or not. I'll briefly tell you what is up.

I'm using a third party thing called Quantum Optics Toolbox. It takes the
differential equations we solve in quantum optics, and solves them under
Matlab, it runs under matlab. It works fine except for a set of
simulations where it is required to use Matlab to pass data to a
precompiled C program. In those it tells me it can't find those
precomiled programs. They are precompiled and are in various locations
(I've tried many....) but I need to get those programs into a Mac OS X
directory that is in the Mac equivalent of the system path on an XP box.

So this is likely an OS X/Unix problem, and not Matlab per se (I did make
sure those programs were in Matlabs path..). If you or a mac person could
sit down with me here or there, that may be the easiest way to try and
figure it out. So if you can point towards the right person, or resource,
I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks.
