DD: Some fine Grammarians on this list have objected to Brad
Johnston's posting. I am no expert, rather a grammar dilettante, but
I enjoy and learn from his posts, which I look forward to viewing. I
learn from them and the excellent responses from you others. I
suggest to those who differ that they check their keyboards and
somewhere they will find one key marked "Delete." I find it useful in
my aged e-mail program, Eudora, for removing boring or offensive
mail. Most up to date e-mail programs also have filters that can be
programmed to do the same without your having to move a finger
thereafter. So please Brad, Sir, keep those fine posts flowing. I
don't always understand the nuances, but they are helping me think
about grammar.
