Hey all,
According to today's Washington City Paper, The Connells will be playing
the 930 Club on Oct 2.
I've had the new album for a couple of weeks now. At first I thought it
was awesome. But the more I listen to it, the less fond I grow with it.
The songs on it which I dig, like "Maybe," "Any," , "Fifth Fret," are
awesome. The songs on it which I don't like, "Friendly Time" and the
fourth one (which for the life of me I can't remember the title of) I
find grating, especially that spoken part in the middle of the latter
tune. For some reason that REALLY bothers me and I really don't like it
at all. Strange.
As to George's songs, I dig them, personally. I also thought his solo
album was great. I might rate that one a little higher overall than WFAD.
Well, just my thoughts...
