The Connells performed before a small but enthusiastic crowd last
night in Burlington, VT. Club Toast, which can hold about 300-350
people, had about 125 patrons when The Connells took the stage
at midnight. After short sets from the Kevin Salem Band and The Ass
Ponys, The Connells performed a tight and impassioned set (with
sardonic asides from Doug), choosing songs spanning their entire
career, excepting Darker Days. The approximately 90 minute set
was dominated by songs from WFAD. The only song that they didn't play
that I would have liked to have heard was Fine Tuning. After the
show, only Mike hung around, but as I still had a two hour drive
back to Montreal, I didn't stay to speak with him. To the best of my
knowledge, the set included:
1. Maybe
2. Fifth Fret
3. Hang On
4. Over There
5. Doin' You
6. Pretty Rough
7. New Boy
8. Scotty's Lament
9. Smoke
10. Smoke
11. Start
12. Any
13. '74-'75
14. Choose a Side
15. Slackjawed
16. Let It Go
17. Motel
18. Fun & Games
19. Get a Gun
20. Hey You
21. Just Like That
