<< It might be a cover, it might be a never realized b-side. I don't know.
All I know is that it appears to have been recorded around the same time as
their second album, and Mike has the lead vocal with George joining him in
the repeat. Here are the lyrics:

 Out on the streets tonight
 I see the buses passing.
 Feeling the heat and I
 my feet are moving faster.
 They're keeping time
to the sounds I hear around me.
 They're keeping time
to the voices of the city.
And if I close my eyes,
I can still see it all.
 And I hear the cries,
 and the traffic all (Ouch...)
And I know that's the sound
 of another time and place...
 Wait on me there...
 There...
 Hmmmm Hmmmm Hmmmm Hmmm
 (Repeat from beginning)

    Any clues? Wilson? Art? Adam?

Eric,

This is one of oldest Connells songs, and one that never got recorded in a
studio to my knowledge. They refer to it as "Pop Song", and it was played
live from 1984-1987, but I never heard it after then. Don't you agree that
certain parts of the drums/bass became "Upside Down"?
