The centrally managed, multi-user Digital OpenVMS cluster in Oxford, MiaVX1,
will be unavailable Sunday, 5 January 1997, between 8am and 5pm for routine
system maintenance upgrades.  (For further information on the upgrades
themselves, please see earlier postings in the mu.comp.os.openvms NetNews
newsgroup.)
 
Services affected by this outage include all services on all nodes of
the MiaVX1 cluster:
 
     *  all MiaVX1 batch processes (Ocean)
     *  all MiaVX1 interactive services (Sea)
     *  all NetNews reading and posting University-wide (Stream)
     *  all electronic Directory (PHonebook) access (Stream)
          including all redirection of incoming e-mail addressed to
          [log in to unmask]  (mail will be queued for later delivery)
     *  World Wide Web services on WWW.MUOhio.Edu and MiaVX1.MUOhio.Edu
          (including the Miami University home page)
     *  Post Office Protocol (POP) mail service on PO.MUOhio.Edu and
          MiaVX1.MUOhio.Edu
