Hello everyone!
 
My name is Julia Balen (I haven't figured out how to get the accent over
the e on the email) and I am the Associate Director of Women's Studies at
The University of Arizona.  I am also one of the team teachers in a
curriculum & faculty development project called the -ISM (N) Project.  The
yearlong class integrates theory, video production & experiential learning.
It's been an incredibly exciting experience for all of us so far and i am
really looking forward to the group projects that we will be putting
together this spring.
 
When I heard about this project, i really wanted to see how it was working,
so I may just be a lurker, but I plan to bring this up to the class in
hopes that some of the students may actually choose to participate--we'll
see.  I just hope that I don't get overwhelmed by this . . .
