Hi, I'm 25 and I live in Salt Lake City. (this feels like Connells-Anonymous)
I got into the Connells in 1993, when a buddy of mine from Missoula, MT
introduced me to '74-'75. (now I think the F&G album's the best, but that's a
different story) Anyway, this isn't really a road trip story, but I just have
to share it. Back in '96, by some sick coincidence I had an appointment to
get my wisdom teeth out, the same day as the show at the Zephyr. I bought my
tix the day they became available and my friends thought I was nutz, they
thought I'd spend a week in bed! So the morning of the show I had 4 wisdom
teeth extracted (2 of 'em impacted!!!) I took advil and slept all day, that
night I felt great! I went to the show, got a great table and tipped the
waitress $5 to keep bringing me ice-water, I was a little swollen. So the
show starts and my teeth (the ones in front of the impacted ones) start
VIBRATING because of the bass!! So there I am, holding my jaw, drinking ice-
water and having the best concert experience of my life!! What a great show!
Thanks for letting me rant!
