Hello all!

As I write this its a wonderful Sunday afternoon, Sept. 13. Tomorrow is
the "official release" of the second single, "Soul Reactor." I know that
all of you like me are hoping that this single catches like a wild fire.
What I am thinking here is that we should help in some way to make that
happen. To that end, yes here he goes again with THAT suggestion, I would
like to ask everyone to request "Soul Reactor" this week at not just their
favorite radio stations but stations that might be persuaded to play the
single -- even once! Ask you friends to call, ask your relatives to
call... but by all means call. WOXY down/over here in Oxford, Ohio is
already playing "Soul Reactor" and "Still Life."

I also think we should send e-mail notes to Mtv ([log in to unmask],
http://www.mtv.com/mtv/music/120min) and Vh-1
http://www.vh1.com/insidevh1/talkto/ ) asking for Connells videos and
saying, "Hey, do you have any videos from the new record?" If successful,
this puts pressure on TVT to make a video. And as it has been explained to
me, without a single catching much airplay its not "cost effective" to make
a video. Sound circular? My guess is that its tied into the problems that
many of us on this list have been discussing for years. I would like to
encourage us to do what we can to help get the guys more airplay.

What I would like to do is to send email, letters, and phone calls the way
of any radio station, cable channel, and television program which might
play some Connells. This doesn't take much time and effort from us. I
would like to collect contact information about airplay opportunities and
then pass them on to the list. I have already started making a list and
will pass it on when I get additional suggestions from others. If you are
going to send me a regional radio station, let me know all pertinent
information in terms of convincing a radio station to play "Soul Reactor".

So, send me your suggestions privately ([log in to unmask]) and I will add
them to my list. If you know someone at any station, channel, program who
it might help to bring the request to the "attention of" please include
that information as well.

And when you go to shows don't just request and dance to the "old" songs,
show appreciation for some of the new stuff! Whoever out there requested
"Still Life" at the Wilmington show is my hero for today.

Thanks. "Wishes mean nothing when they're tossed away"
