I feel like a fool taking a stab at this because everytime I try to
interpret a song, I find out later that I'm totally wrong. However, I'll
give my twisted opinion of what I thought about when I first heard "Hey
You". I got the feeling it was about someone on a course of disaster,
possibly through drinking, drugs (e.g., an addiction,) or just screwing up.
I guess the reference about the angels and "it's really very funny how it
wears me down, waiting for that something" led me to that conclusion. Plus
the "sorry but it's time to let you know" makes me think about an
intervention.
Flame away and tell me how rediculous this sounds...
