yeah, I see what you mean. However, couldn't it be turned into a positive meaning as
well?

Sure, if there won't come anything better than what has been, it might seem a bit
negative. Still, after all isn't our memories the best things we've got? When you're
at the end of your life, looking back, I don't think it's the money in the bank or
your beautiful car which are important, but your memories.

The first time I heard the song I thought like you, it seemed so obvious, however,
lately I've been dissecting the lycics more and been thinking in other ways. Perhaps
it's just me being nuts? :)
