Dear all, As you may have noticed, in this past year's SIS, we have been fortunate enough to receive and publish submissions from Great Britain on the place of grammar in their school curriculum. As a result of those contacts, we have the opportunity to review the UK Curriculum and Standards Document: The National Literacy Strategy: Grammar for Writing, (Department for Education and Employment, Standards and Effectiveness unit). I am seeking someone to do an extended review of this 200 pp book, which covers years 3-6 of the UK school system. If you interested in reviewing this important work, and writing an extended review (1,500 - 2,500 words), please contact me at [log in to unmask] I will be out of the country Wednesday July 25th - Thursday, August 9th, so if you're interested, please let me know right away, or in mid-August. Looking forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Rebecca S. Wheeler, Editor Syntax in the Schools -- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Rebecca S.
