Hi all! I think the key to teaching a good course on grammar and linguistic varieties in modern English is the material. If it is done at in schools, someone needs to write a good textbook. Is there one one that? I teach a course like that here and use lots of different articles from everywhere. School teachers usually don't have time to prepare like that. They need a textbook they can supplement. I'm think of writing such a book for Finnish high school students. What should be included? I think grammar and some lexis for US-UK, AAVE, Indian, Austaralian plus other varieties of English. Any ideas?
