I should have included [S V O] too. The point is just that what I call
monostructural theories take a "Thou shalt not pick more than one from
the list" approach; any sequence with more than one possible "useful"
structural grouping pattern in those theories becomes the object of a
debate about which of the possibilities is the true (or most useful)
one.
