I’m in the process (once again) of re-organizing my library, so I don’t have a lot of bibliographic information, but when I read your post, Tony, my first thought was “Grammar Alive!”, a text my English-grammar-for-teachers instructor used that I thought was wonderful.  Anyone have a copy handy?

I will be teaching a summer class which is both an introduction to linguistics and an introduction to English grammar for teachers. Are there are texts which group members have found worthwhile? Thank you, Tony DeFazio
