This is just a piece of levity du jour, probably, but I thought I’d better check my own reactions before I tell the library staff there’s a problem.  The computer stations at my school’s library all have a screen-saver that presents the viewer with rules of conduct, like “set cell phones to vibrate.” Included among these is the following admonition:

 

“Please keep all conversations at a respectable volume.”
