Bravo! I'll second that motion. Many of us are getting tired of the rudeness. There's too little civility in our culture already for people with an advanced education to join in and make it worse. We should know better and should model desired behaviors to those around us.

Given Eduard's recent outburst ("Only an ignorant, provincial American can make such totally absurd and nonsensical claims"), might now be a good time to hop in with a "rules and regs" for list postings, perhaps even an ominous warning of exclusion from the list applied to those who can't maintain civility?
