Hello again. Back with more questions about my grammar course for lawyers and legal support professionals. Thanks to everyone for the tips, especially the ones suggesting I have lawyers read "real" writing to try to catch mistakes and misuses. Simple question of mechanics (or is it convention?): Is it still incorrect to use a reflexive pronoun as a direct object ("Please call Joe or myself.") or as the object of a preposition ("This material was prepared by Yogi Bear, Al Gore, and myself.")? This drives me insane; it seems to be the work of people trying to sound more intellectual than they are and failing miserably. However, I've read in various sources that it's becoming accepted. Say it ain't (oops, there I go) so! _______________________________________________ Brenda S.
