i do think that aled is right to point to some of the limitations of
dealing with each other solely through this listserv.  this listserv has
a very specific purpose, to begin a dialogue, to provide a consistent
site for engagement, not to substitute for face-to-face interaction.
again, it is a way of finding out relatively quickly if there are people
out there who are interested in this project so that we can eventually
find a time and a space to meet and discuss, a bit more immediately, what
are the possibilities of such a project, and what are the terms of
collectivitiy that we what to work on.
 
first, i hope everyone will take the time to finish off the introductions
and as more people join they will do the same.  just for everyone's
information there are now 12 people signed on to this list.  not bad.
