i don't know what you are referring to when you say hight theory, or
english department theory.  i mean i have an idea but i get the sense you
are responding to a post to this list.  perhaps you could specifically
point out what you are responding to and what you mean by working class
theory.  i imagine this is going to b one of the sticking points here,
what role theory will have.  however, i am curious about why are you
resistance to radical POLITICAL theory?  or am i misunderstanding you here?
