Hi fellow Netters
My name is Louis de Jager and I am the Deputy Director of Human Resources at
the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. My primary function is managing
and co-ordinating the HRD function at our university.
I was recently asked to formulate a Training and Development Policy, HRD
strategy as well as developing a HRD model for our instiutution.
I would be grateful to receive suggestions in terms of the following:
1. What is considered imperative for a HRD policy.
2. What aspects are to be avoided when formulating a policy.
3. Examples and any other relevant material regarding strategy and HRD models
that were found to be useful.
I undertake to post a summary of responses on this list.
Thank you very much in advance.
