     Hello.  I'm Mary Kay Schleiter from the University of
Wisconsin-Parkside, just north of Chicago.  I teach two courses that are
relevant to this project: "Class, Status, and Power" and "African American
Studies."  Although I am not offering either of these courses this spring
semester, I hope to have a class participating in future semesters.  My
relevant research is in the areas of poverty, low income workers, and
occupational stratification.  Currently, I am studying the effects of
welfare reform on low income workers.
