A TREASURE TROVE OF MATERIAL IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE CLAS WEBSITE.
YOU can help us shape our services to better suit the needs of all who work
with young children.

READ LITERATURE REVIEWS.
A series of literature reviews on issues of diversity in early
childhood/special education will be posted on CLAS. Each paper will be
available for one month. You can send us your feedback electronically, as
well
as read other professionals' comments. Using your experiences and good ideas
for improvement, these papers will ultimately be published in book form.

Literature Review Papers Calendar:
 September/October Transition
 November Child Assessment
 December/January Child Find
 February Motor Development
 March Family Support
  April Personnel Preparation
 May Emerging Literacy
 June IEPs/IFSPs

PERUSE THE PUBLICATIONS.
Information on a limited number of pertinent materials is now available for
your on-line comments. (Materials will be added on a continuing basis.)
This is
your opportunity to find out about pertinent materials and get ideas about
adapting publications to make them more culturally and linguistically
appropriate.

Some entries are full-text; some are in other languages; and some contain
reviews -- all entries contain general bibliographic and availability
information. The materials concern children (with or without disabilities)
from birth to five years old from a variety of backgrounds. The materials
seem
to be effective across cultural and linguistic backgrounds and include such
items as:

Information packets and brochures for parents
Child Find materials
Child and family assessment tools
Resource or curriculum materials
Professional preparation resources (in-service & pre-service)
Information on family services

We want your comments!

Come talk to us online so we can make THE CLAS WEBSITE the information place
for all those involved with young children from diverse backgrounds.
