Students, Your colleague in special education, Jennifer Linsky, is proposing a book club for anyone interested in reading some additional novels, bios, etc. pertinent to our field. I think this is a wonderful idea and I know I'd love to participate. Please read Jen's e-mail below and let her know what you think and if you're interested!
Count me in!

Book Club- SPED

My proposal to you fellow Pre-Intervention Specialists is to do some
reading. I know what you are thinking, MORE READING?! But don’t worry
what I am about to tell you will give you peace of mind. Are you the
type of person who learns better about a person by hearing their
stories? Are you the type of person who likes to relax with a good
book? My idea is a book club, for Special Education majors, who would
like to learn about individuals with disabilities through their
personal narratives. For example, have you ever heard or bought the
book “Look me in the eye” but never read it? Have you ever seen an
article relating to your field and marked it but never made it back to
reading it? SPED Book Club is born!? If you are interested contact
Molly-Kelly Elliot or Jennifer Linsky ([log in to unmask]). Depending
on the amount of interest we can meet and decide together what we
would like to read!
