Students, Forgive my late announcement of this terrific opportunity - perhaps you have seen the posters up around McGuffey.
Dr. Nel Noddings of Stanford University is presenting a lecture today at 5:00 in the McGuffey Auditorium (room 322). She has made enormous contributions to the field of education, focusing on an Ethics of Caring in education.
The mission of the Miami University teacher preparation programs in the Division of Education, Health & Society is to develop CARING, competent and transformative educators. Today we have the opportunity to hear from one of the top researchers and theorists in the arena of CARING.
Please make an effort to attend this worthwhile and unique opportunity to hear Nel Noddings speak.
