SPECIAL ED MAJORS - PLEASE SEE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT A NEW GROUP HERE AT MIAMI FOCUSING ON AUTISM .
My name is Jill Schaefer and I'm a senior Psychology major here at Miami. I
was involved in creating a new student organization on campus this year,
Autism Speaks U, to promote Autism awareness on Miami's campus as well as
encouraging participation for the cause. While Autism can affect anyone, we
are especially interested in informing students who may have an invested
interest in Autism and feel that students in the Department of Educational
Psychology may be particularly enthusiastic about Autism Speaks U's cause.
We were hoping that you would send a depart wide email to all your majors to
inform them about this new student organization. Our first meeting will be
Tuesday, August 31st at 8:30 in the Farmer School of Business room 20.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me through email at
[log in to unmask], or the club's president, Katie Weeks, at
[log in to unmask] Thank you so much for your time!
Yours Truly,
Jill Schaefer
