Hello Special Education Majors and other members of SCEC,

We are having our meetings on Monday's this year, I know that conflicts with some individuals. If you still want to be involved in events you just keep in touch with us and we can work it out.

Our first meeting with be this Monday September 24, 2012 at 6:30pm in room 219 MCG!!!! I hope you can all attend and learn what we plan on doing this year! We are widening our interests and trying to plan more volunteer events. If we get a lot of interest for the event described below we can work out all driving together!

Attached is some information on a great event designed for dads and their children with special needs which will be held on Friday, October 26th. Mark Walker, the founder of this program, has a great passion for supporting families who have kids with special needs. To put on this event, Butler County is asking for volunteers that are needed so please consider volunteering for this event, make a difference, and have a great experience.

Here is what we are hoping to do this year in SCEC:

2. Pottery Painting- Project Life Ross
3. “Polar Bear Plunge” (February 2, 2012)
4. SCEC Conference- Texas (April)
