Dear Student: EDP 450G, Mentoring At-Risk Youth, is now open for registration. This one-credit hour course is a unique opportunity to mentor a 9th or 10th grade student right on campus, as part of the Miami Connections (www.muohio.edu/connections) program. This year we will be implementing Check & Connect, an evidence-based dropout prevention program that involves mentors with students, teachers, and families as part of a safety net. A one-year commitment and criminal background checks are required -- please sign up only if you can make these commitments. The second semester course will be online in order to accommodate all.
