The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science announces the
1997 Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research at Berkeley
(SUPERB) June 16-August 8, 1997, at the University of California at
Berkeley. This outreach program is open to undergraduates who will have
completed their junior year by the end of the current academic year.
Funded by the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for
Undergraduates Program and the Intel Foundation, this program provides
undergraduates with an eight week research apprenticeship. All students
receive a $3000 stipend, travel allowance, and room and board.
Students whose life experiences and academic acheivements would contribute
to the diversity of the program are encouraged to apply. First generation
college students and underrepresented ethnic minorities are among those
eligible to participate.
