The Diane Rehm Show (10 am - noon)
        1: Presidential Transition. A panel talks about the ins and
outs of the transition that now follows the declaration of a winner
in the contested 2000 Presidential election. They'll outline what
George Bush and his staff are going through as they build a new
administration. Guests: Martha Kumar, University of Maryland; Dr.
Alvin Felzenberg, Heritage Foundation; Robert Hunter, RAND Corp. and
former U.S. Ambassador to NATO
        2: Michael Dirda of Washington Post Book World discusses his
life as a reader and collector of books. He'll talk about old
favorites, new favorites, and the love of literature. His collection
of essays is titled "Readings" (Indiana University Press).

        Actress CHRISTINE BARANSKI. In the sitcom "Cybil" she was
Cybil's best friend. Now...she's starring in the T-V show "Welcome to
New York."
