Billington, Librarian of Congress since 1987, about the upcoming
National Book Festival, hosted by First Lady Laura Bush, and about
the resources and mission of the world's largest library.
        Hour two: Rick Bragg: New York Times correspondent Rick Bragg
wrote about his Alabama childhood and his mother's influence in his
acclaimed memoir "All Over But The Shoutin'." In his new book, "Ava's
Man" (Knopf), he goes back a generation and writes about his mother's
father Charlie Bundrum.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (Noon - 1pm)
        An interview with GARRISON KEILOR (previously anounced for
Tuesday). He'll discuss his new novel, "Lake Wobegon: Summer 1956."
The book is about a 14-year-old boy who discovers pornography, and an
urge to write.

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm); guest host Frank Stasio
        LAST YEAR THE FLU VACCINE WAS DELAYED. THIS YEAR THERE'S A
TETANUS SHORTAGE. THAT'S TROUBLESOME, CONSIDERING THAT VACCINES
AFFECT EVERYTHING FROM SCHOOL STARTING DATES TO OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE.

study claims more than 100 million people have gone on-line for
healthcare information this year. Doctors talk about the Internet and
the future of doctor-patient relations.
        Hour two: 30th ANNIVERSARY OF CHEZ PANISSE: this California
restaurant started the organic food revolution. We'll talk to its
founder, Alice Waters.

        Anticipating the political shakeup in New York. Term limits
prevent New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani from running again. Six
candidates are trying to take his place, setting up the city's most
competitive mayoral race in years.
